.:: out of the blue and into the sun ::.

i've decided to stop moping and moaning about the current events in my life and get out of the blue for a bit. hello mr sun! the sweat machine that i am found myself withering quickly under the blazing, glorious sun. it's a lovely day to be out, and for a moment i felt the imminent depression i've been feeling for the past few weeks slowly dissipating.


the last time i did inline skating was when the dinosaurs still roamed the earth. aye, yonkers ago. but no problem, it's like cycling right? i mean, after that first fall, you'll get better and better right? yeaaahhh ... easy squeezy lemon peasy ... dum dee doo ...

btw, i didn't just fall on my perky butt seconds before the above pic was taken. i couldn't possibly capture a perfect photo moment like that, what with trying to balance and all, right? i was on the grass cos i just put my skates on and was getting ready to get on my feet (which i successfully did, HOKAY??). heh. t'was scary, to be honest, but after a few rounds of "walking" on grass, i eventually went to the pavement to practise "walking" some more. eh, not skating like a pro yet lah. and not on the skating/cycling trail either. i don't want to make a fool of myself, do i?

*imagine someone trying to balance herself on a set of wheels, flapping her arms madly like a bird with the flu*

not a nice picture, eh? *grimace*

but my colleague (who had kindly agreed to coach us) said that i would be skating like the wind (yes people, like the wind. WHOOSH!) in about 4 weeks time. this, provided that we "train" (heh, like going for competition, like that, hor?) at least 2 - 3 times a week. now, where can i find time in my ever-busy schedule to do that??

oh btw, the big numero ocho on the skates represents my amazonian feet size. didn't they say 8 is a lucky number? i tend to agree.
